A handwoven flatweave in a check of deep red and natural undyed wool.
Khana means compartment, and laal means red. The squares alternate across the full rug. This is the strongest contrast in the range — red against undyed wool reads clearly from across a room, where the striped and single-line rugs stay quiet. The check is not perfectly regular: squares vary slightly in size, because the pattern is counted by hand at the loom rather than set by a machine.
Material: 80% wool, 20% cotton
Technique: Handwoven flatweave, reversible
Origin: India
Suitable for: Living room, dining area, hallway, bedroom
Care: Vacuum weekly with suction only, spot clean with cool water
Underlay: Recommended on hard floors
Sizes not currently in stock can be woven to order — allow 8 to 10 weeks.
Made in small batches by artisan weavers in India. Because each rug is handmade, slight variations in size (approximately ±5 cm), tone and weave will occur.
