Varga means square. The squares are set in a regular grid across the rug, with terracotta carrying most of it and the blue and white breaking it up. The grid is not perfectly even — squares vary slightly in size, because the pattern is counted by hand at the loom rather than set by a machine.
Material: 75% wool, 25% cotton
Technique: Handwoven flatweave, reversible

Care: Vacuum weekly with suction only, spot clean with cool water
Underlay: Recommended on hard floors
Sizes not currently in stock can be woven to order — allow 8 to 10 weeks.
Made in small batches by artisan weavers in India. Because each rug is handmade, slight variations in size (approximately ±5 cm), tone and weave will occur.
