Dhaariya Mitti — Brown Striped Wool Rug

from €485.00
Size:

A handwoven flatweave in bands of warm brown across a natural undyed ground.

Dhaariya means stripes, and mitti means earth. The stripes run the full width of the rug, and vary in width. Brown and the natural ground come from the same part of the wool’s range, so the two sit close together and the pattern is quiet rather than graphic.

  • Material: 80% wool, 20% cotton

  • Technique: Handwoven flatweave, reversible

  • Origin: India

  • Suitable for: Living room, dining area, hallway, bedroom

  • Care: Vacuum weekly with suction only, spot clean with cool water

  • Underlay: Recommended on hard floors

Sizes not currently in stock can be woven to order — allow 8 to 10 weeks.

Made in small batches by artisan weavers in India. Because each rug is handmade, slight variations in size (approximately ±5 cm), tone and weave will occur.
